Orla Kiely's Bag
Orla Kiely launched a new exclusive accessories collection in Ireland to support Fashion Targets Breast Cancer (FTBC) in aid of Action Breast Cancer, a programme of the Irish Cancer Society, and Europa Donna Ireland – uniting a leading fashion designer with a worthy respected cause.
Inspired by the iconic FTBC bull's eye target symbol, the capsule collection features a graphic pattern in Orla's instantly recognisable signature style with the target symbol subtly worked in. "To have the opportunity to design a capsule accessories collection to communicate the importance of an issue close to all at Orla Kiely has been amazing. We hope to generate as much breast awareness as possible and that our design, which encapsulates the target logo, inspires hope and happiness to those who have been affected by breast cancer", says Orla Kiely.
The range was available exclusively through Brown Thomas in Dublin, Cork, Limerick and Galway to mark Breast Cancer Awareness Month. The collection included four different styles: a classic shoulder bag (€160), a large book tote bag (€165), a zip wallet (€90) and a cosmetic bag (€85), maintaining Orla's flair for fusing functionality and style.
All proceeds went directly to Action Breast Cancer (a programme of the Irish Cancer Society) to provide services for younger women diagnosed with breast cancer and to Europa Donna Ireland, The Irish Breast Cancer Campaign.
