Brown Thomas teamed up with internationally British designer Paul Smith to create a global exclusive for the 2009 Fashion Targets Breast Cancer Ireland Campaign.  The bright multi-coloured canvas tote depicting “Love Paul Smith” retails at €35 and all proceeds raised will go to Action Breast Cancer (a programme of the Irish Cancer Society) and Europa Donna Ireland (raising awareness of breast cancer issues in Ireland). The tote was launched exclusively at Brown Thomas and BT2 stores on Thursday May 7th by Paul Smith himself.  

Speaking about the campaign, Paul Smith commented, "I am privileged to be part of this great cause. I hope this project continues to raise awareness for Fashion Targets Breast Cancer and people enjoy the bag!"

Now in its fifth year, the Fashion Targets Breast Cancer campaign has gone from strength to strength in Ireland through the sale of the bull's eye target t-shirts and last year’s hugely successful Diane von Furstenberg tote bag.  For the 2009 campaign Brown Thomas approached celebrated designer Paul Smith to design a bag which would appeal to women of all ages.  The resulting limited edition bag reflects this season’s bright colours and Paul Smith’s signature design style, whilst cleverly incorporating the distinctive FTBC bull’s eye target logo.

This t-shirt retails at €45.

Both the bag and t-shirt are available from Irish Cancer Society's online shop.

All proceeds raised will go to Action Breast Cancer and Europa Donna Ireland.
